As has long been expected, the World Rally Championship points system will change in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system will look like this – 25 points for a win, and reducing it to one point for 10th place – plus points for the Power Stage<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season, the seven quickest drivers across Sunday\u2019s leg of a rally received up to seven extra championship points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A maximum weekend score still stood at 30, with 18 points available for the leader after Saturday \u2013 but those points could only be scored if the driver finished the rally on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revised format brings simplification by removing Saturday points, reduces the chances of a rally winner scoring fewer points than the second-placed competitor, and continue to enhance Sunday\u2019s excitement and competitiveness. The \u2018Super Sunday\u2019 format will maintain its role as a critical competition day, while the powerstage remains a key element for broadcasters and fans alike.<\/p>\nConfirming the decision, the FIA<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
